The layout of the CLASH double page spread is very sophisticated and represents the type of people that are going to want read it. You can tell by the way it is presented that the magazine is meant for an older audience. Having one image cover one of the two pages enphasises the main subject of the article. Having the text on one side and the image of the other highlights the simplicity of the page and, in extension, the magazine.
The q magazine double page spread is a lot like the CLASH magazine spread. There's one picture covering the whole right hand page. However, this one has the title going accross the whole two pages enphasising the title a lot more than the CLASH magazine. The colour scheme on the page is a lot more present is this double page spread. The image is black and white and the text going accross it is a striking red colour. There seems to be a lot more character to this page than clash. The text is layed out fairly minamilist, however, is all seems a little more cluttered and in your face compared to CLASH which is also simplistic but layed out in a lot more calming way.
