The focus group, to me, was extremely benefitial. It gave me a chance to see what someone who had never seen my magazine though of it on first impressions and as to whether the ideas i had put into it had come across effectively. A lot of the comments spoke of the theme being very strongly put across and the indie genre having good continuity throughout the whole mag. Positive comments were made about the individual and unique layout of the double page spread. The layout as a whole was appreciated bar only the contents page where it was said that 'seperators' could be used to split up some of the articles.
