Forms and conventions research

 

By researching more into music magazines, I have gained knowledge on the kind of features a magazine should contain (e.g. Masthead, selling line, cover lines, main cover and barcode). I have also learnt how these features are different for different genres. For example in an Indie magazine will use much simpler, more mute fonts and colours in both the masthead and the images. Whereas a rock magazine will have much more shocking reds and dark blacks in the mast head and images. The font would also be more 'violent' reflecting the type of magazine.
