Photoshoot front cover image first editing process

After doing my first photo shoot for my magazine cover, T then used photoshop to edit my chosen front cover image and prepare it for my front cover. I first made a background layer the exact size of an A4 sheet so that i could make the image so that when it is transferred onto my magazine it is not stretched or out of proportion. I used the contrast filter and curves tool to make the image more faded and pastelly. This made his face look less vibrant and more earthy and naturalistic matching the style of magazine and therfore image that I wanted.
